Some of the links on this website are affiliate links. If you sign up for or purchase a product through one of them, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. You pay the same price you would pay going direct.
What an Affiliate Link Is
An affiliate link is an ordinary link with a tracking code attached. When you click it, the company on the other end knows the visit came from us. If you later become a paying customer, they pay us a referral fee. Your price does not change, your experience on their site does not change, and you are under no obligation to buy anything.
Which Programs We Participate In
We currently participate in affiliate programs run by Seobility, an SEO auditing and site crawling platform, and Elegant Themes, the company behind the Divi WordPress theme and page builder. If we add programs, this page gets updated.
How We Decide What to Recommend
We only link to software we actually use, either on this website or in client work. A commission does not buy a mention here, and no company has editorial input into what we publish. Where a free tool does the job, we say so. Where a paid tool is genuinely better, we say that as well, and we try to be specific about who it is better for.
We also make a point of naming tools we earn nothing from when they are the right answer. Google Search Console appears throughout this site for exactly that reason. If our recommendations only ever pointed at products that pay us, they would not be worth reading.
Where You Will See Disclosures
Any article containing an affiliate link carries a visible disclosure near the top, before the link appears. Affiliate links are also marked with a sponsored attribute in the page code, which is what Google asks publishers to do. We do not hide these links or dress them up as neutral editorial picks.
